Cameron Marlow: A Brief History
I'm a Ph.D. student at the MIT Media Laboratory. My graduate career is currently in the 9th month of its pregnancy, and I'm trying to induce labor. I'm also praying that it doesn't have to come to a cesarean. My thesis is generally related to the data I've collected from my project, Blogdex.
My research interests revolve around the way that the internet is affecting the structure of society, and how those changes affect the spread of information. I've been studying the spread of links through the weblog community for about 3 years now, but recently I've shifted my focus towards sexual networks, online dating and the diffusion of STDs.
I study them. It's not a personal thing.
