The MediaPedia is provided as an interactive reference to the MIT Media Lab's groups and projects in order to provide more community and interaction between the sponsors and researchers of the lab. 

The Main Page provides a source of information for lab sponsors (http://www.media.mit.edu/sponsors/sponsors.html) (and other community members) about current research projects as well as a feedback mechanism for researchers to hear the compliments and critique. 

It is not the envisioned that this wiki will replace other information and data repositories around the lab, it is my hope that it will be a vehicle for fostering indepth and persistent discussion and criticism about the lab's research. 

Over time, it is also intended that this wiki be used for technical notes, project lists, and other routine communication associated with the lab's research programs.
